10 Commandments of Shooting Safety I - Always keep the muzzle of your weapon pointed in a safe direction. II - Firearms should be ALWAYS be unloaded when not in actual use. III - Don't rely on your weapons "safety". IV - Be sure of your target and surer of what is beyond it. V - Use only the correct manufacture specified ammunition. VI - If your gun fails to fire when the trigger is pulled, STOP and handle with extreme care! VII - Always wear eye and ear protection when shooting. VIII - Be sure the barrel is clear of any obstructions before beginning any shooting. IX - Do not alter or modify your gun, and always have guns serviced and cleaned regularly. X - Learn in depth the unique and specific mechanical and handling characteristics of the firearm you are using.
