It is made with tough and durable outside layers of reflective polymer film to retain thermal body heat. The center layer is a perforated white layer that allows the unit to capture and retain a stable air layer to provide an effective insulation barrier. The entire unit is interspersed with elastic filaments and bonded together to combine all the structural elements into a "body forming" total personal insulation/protection device.

It is made with three (3) tough and durable layers of a reflective polymer film to retain thermal body heat. The inner layer is a perforated to allow heat and vapor to be captured in the inner chambers; the center white layer allows the unit to capture and retain a stable air layer to provide an effective insulation barrier, and the external layer provides reverse thermal protection by keeping the outside elements from reaching the body. The unit is interspersed with elastic channels and bonded together to combine all these structural elements into a "body forming" total personal insulation/protection device.
• The design of the" vest" helps to keep an individual protected from the biting cold, wind or rain/snow, and provide a psychological sense of security, thus preventing unwanted panic which could result in excess body heat loss and potential hypothermia.
• The sealed multiple corrugation channels of the vest walls create layers of still air to provide trapped air insulation, the same insulation media as in your house or in a ski jacket.
• The precise perforation pattern in the center layer material allows for the transmigration of moisture vapor out and away from the body to help keep you dry and comfortable.
• The metallized inner surface reflects and retains radiated body heat emissions and the outside layer prevents the wind or moisture from getting to your body, thus no wind chill effects.
• The interlaced elastic fibers force the vest to "hug" close to the body, and expand for added comfort when you bring your arms inside the vest. This increases the insulation factor and thereby reduces any heat loss between the walls of the vest and your body. You can even "squat" (knees to chest) and bring your legs inside the bag when you are at rest.
• · The slotted reinforced armholes allow you to keep your arms outside the vest for stability when walking or bring them inside to provide for added overall body warmth. The hood gives you full visibility while providing the needed protection of stopping any heat loss through your head.
• Tough, strong and durable, the EXTREME Pro-Tech Vest can be used over and over again. It is initially pressure and vacuum packed so that it is compact enough to fit into any pack or in your jacket pocket and it weighs just 10 ounces. Just fold over and roll up from the closed end, expelling all air outward as you roll. Compress product down to a manageable/re-packable size. It will never go back to its original pack compact size, but you can save it for future use.
